Klaxon Hand Operated Sirens (The Safety Centre)
The Safety Centre are now stocking Klaxons range of hand operated outdoor sirens.
These sirens are specially designed to provide effective warning in applications where there is no power supply, such as camp sites, civil defence, mountain rescue and coast guard warning.
The 17-970322 lightweight unit can be easily transported to remote locations and folds up to a small and compact size for ease of handling. This model comes complete with carry case, making it the ideal choice where portability is crucial.
The 17-970356 heavy duty unit is powered by rotating the handle, this siren has a plate to shut off the sound once up to speed giving it the ability to produce three different tones. Robust and compact, the siren can be easily transported to remote locations and folds up to a small size for ease of handling.

New BS5839-1 Compliant Fire Alarm System Mains Isolator Switch Available (The Safety Centre)
The Safety Centre have added a fully BS5839 Part 1 compliant mains isolator switch to their product range.
This product provides a secure method for safety isolating the mains voltage supply to 'fire control and indicating equipment' [CIE] (also suitable for security and access control and indicating equipment).
Both the Live and Neutral supply is switched and a fuse is also provided.
The supply can only be isolated by an authorized person, by means of a keylock switch. The key is removable in both ON/OFF positions.
The fuse cannot be removed without taking the cover off.
A neon indicator is provided to indicate mains present at the switched output.
General Installation
The unit is supplied in a complete enclosure. The enclosure is of a standard single gang format with preformed holes for mounting on a surface or 20mm conduit box. The unit can be accessed by rectangular surface trunking. Please follow the latest IEEE electrical wiring practices.

The Safety Centre Now Stocking Klaxon Industrial Sounder Range (The Safety Centre)
The Safety Centre is now stocking a wide range of Klaxon sounders, especially designed for industrial applications.
The range comprises of a traditional sounder, combined sounder and beacon units, intrinsically safe (hazardous area) units, high sound output sirens (designed for outdoor applications), motor driven sirens, hand operated sirens (ideal for applications where there is no power i.e. camp sites, mountain rescue and coast guards).
The sounders are IP66 rated and are EN54 compliant. They have Vds approvals and most of the sounders and sirens are available in a variety of colour options.

The Safety Centre are now stocking a range of overhead type and wall mounted fire door magnets and door retention units.
We stock units manufacturer by Ingersol Rand and Cranford Controls offering solutions to any type of fire door.
The Briton 996 overhead electro magnetic door closer is an industry standard and is the preferred choice of many architects and specifiers.
The Cranford Controls range of door magnet and retention units offer a cost effective solution for holding open fire doors, and allowing the doors to close once the fire alarm system operates. Thus insuring correct fire seperation areas.
